Welcome to the Journey Up Page! Here, you'll find information regarding our three-year campaign to pay for the purchase of our church home, in La Mesa, California. With God's help and your ongoing support, we will continue to reach people and change lives here in San Diego County. Only 16 months to go as of February 2009!
The Current Chapter - Journey Up! 2.0
In June 2007, Journey began a 3-year capital campaign - Journey Up! With a plan to raise funds for the needs of our church and its ministries, we began praying and committed to giving sacrificially. God did a great work through the people at Journey and we have taken significant steps towards Securing Our Home and continuing to Reach People and Change Lives each week.
Now we are at the two-thirds mark with 12 months to go. On June 22, we were able to have our loans approved and on July 1, 2009 we were able to close escrow on the purchase of the property. ONLY GOD could have brought us out to possess our land and secure our home. With God working through us who were lead to give, we have given a total of 3.3 million as of June 30, 09; we have pledged 3.5 million more in these last twelve months of the campaign; and we are praying for this final leg of seeing "God work through us and doing this miracle!" We also have a loan that becomes due and payable in 12 months (June 30, 2010) on the remaining Journey 2.0 pledges of the capital campaign. We are praying for us as a local church and the commitments we were led by God to pledge during this time, and we are praying for God to do miracles through and in those who have stepped out in faith.
